     This design was inspired by the Super 400, Gibson's largest archtop guitar. The outline is a bold departure from the traditional teardrop shape to a design suggestive of an art deco styled guitar.   Semi-hollow body construction makes this a very lightweight instrument!
     The pickup displayed is a 5 string humbucker with alnico V magnetic poles. This is a new addition to our pickup line and has a warm, clear sound with moderate output well-suited for both soloing and rhythm accompanyment. The fully adjustable ebony bridge includes the option for an EMG piezo pickup and both magnetic and piezo pickups are powered by their own preamp for balanced gain. Available with either 4 or 5 strings.
         The following features are by no means set in stone. Suggestions are always welcome and we are more than happy to build the EM-35 to suit your individual tastes.
