EM-44 and EM-45

SOLID BODY ELECTRIC MANDOLIN

The EM-44 and 45 are the latest models of 4 and 5 string electric mandolins. From the base model to various combinations of custom upgrades, there's sure to be a design to make the instrument you've been looking for. All models feature an adjustable truss rod, bolt-on neck, arched fingerboard and fully adjustable bridge.

Base Model (4 or 5 string)

The base model features a solid alder body, maple neck and fingerboard, single coil pickup, volume and tone controls. Both body and neck are finished in either gloss or satin with your choice of stock colors. Hardware is nickel-plated, white or black pickguard.

Stock colors: Black, white, red, blue, natural

Base price: $800.

Finish Upgrades

Custom Colors: (Samples) Fiesta Red, Blonde, Lake Placid Blue, Tahitian Green, Foam Green, Midnight Blue, Black Cherry. Add $40.*

Special Finishes: (Samples) Candy Apple Red, Green or Blue; Tobacco Sunburst (black, brown, amber), 3-tone Sunburst (black, red, amber), Cherry Burst, Vintage Blonde. Add $80.

Wood Upgrades

In addition to alder, alternate body woods include mahogany and swamp ash. Mahogany is also offered as an alternate neck wood.

Top Overlay

        Top overlays are 1/4 inch 'veneers' of exotic woods laminated onto the body. The veneer can be finished natural or tinted with any color transparent lacquer. It is suggested that a gloss finish be used to bring out the depth of figured woods. Choices include:

Fingerboard

Fingerboard wood options include rosewood and ebony. Pearloid, (otherwise known as mother of toilet seat) or white position dots are used with these woods.

Rosewood Add $20.
Ebony Add $30.

Electronics

If a single coil pickup is simply not enough, you can upgrade to a humbucking pickup (stacked or lateral) as a replacement or in addition to the single coil. Also offered are custom wiring options such as a phase in/out, parallel/series, and split-coil switching of the humbucker for additional tonal variations.
