Company Profile

Steve Ryder Stringed Instruments has been in operation since 1987 and has grown from basic instrument repair into professional refinishing, repair, and designing/building of custom stringed instruments. The shop is located in South Portland, Maine.  Herein lie some examples of Steve's electric mandolins and services used by musicians and other makers for the past twenty three years.

• Member of the GUILD OF AMERICAN LUTHIERS since 1983
• Finishing and final assembly for DANA BOURGEOIS GUITARS in Lewiston, Maine for 3 - 1/2 years
• Finisher and toolmaker for SBS Guitars (under the Schoenberg label) for 2 years
• Guitar and mandolin player since 1967
